MOON HYUNA

— also referred to as: moongom, cat lady, 'that lovely drunk woman', etc — born jan. 19; age 26 — year: senior — majoring in psychology — DPE's vice president — clubs: newspaper (likes writing random columns on whatever strikes her fancy) — works part-time as a receptionist at Lotte Hotel Seoul, her hours are always different but she usually works the weekends/evenings 001 hyuna understands a few things regarding her past: 1, the people she calls her parents are her biological ones. 2, her biological mother fled to seoul to give her away, and 3, she wasn't meant to exist. ◦ her biological mother was, according to her family, given a blessing; she, a poor working-class woman was engaged to an heir; a man who was expecting to obtain his fathers fishing company. all she had to do was wait, marry him, and sit pretty for the rest of her years. oh, and bear him a son, of course. ◦ the pregnancy wasn't meant to happen, it couldn't happen. it was as through all her blessing were thrown out the window the moment that she woke up the next morning after being assaulted by a man she did not recognize. ◦ with her stomach growing steadily, the young woman flees yeosu to find seclusion and safety in another town, another city. working to keep a small hotel room and to feed herself. according to her family, the girl they knew was gone. and in every sense of the phrase, she was. ◦ she is in seoul at full term, giving the newborn baby to an orphanage before returning quietly to yeosu. ◦ 002 hyuna isn't even 'hyuna', yet. she is given a multitude of nicknames by the caretakers at the orphanage. thankfully she doesn't grow too attached to them, since a couple come walking into the building just to consider adoption and leave with the needed paperwork to adopt her. ◦ her adoptive parents, mr. moon and his wife mrs. kim, are both lawyers. sadly unable to have kids of their own, they pour all their love into their adopted children: hyuna is the first they adopt. she is also the tallest. ◦ the moon children aren't spoiled. they are still expected to do chores, save up money if they wanted anything, and were punished if they partook in bad behavior. it's actually a small period of rebellion that lands hyuna into an all girls school. ◦ other than her occasional sass to her parents, hyuna is a straight A student. good grades across the board throughout all of her school career. she needed to make sure her parents were off her back, especially since in high school she was seeing someone she knew her parents would have a heart attack over: another girl in her grade. ◦ they don't have as much of a heart attack as her girlfriends parents do; banning hyuna from seeing her ever again. they try to keep in contact through mutual friends passing letters back and forth, but are eventual found out. hyuna is sent away to finish school in london, and she never sees her ex again. ◦ 003 after getting accepted into a few different schools, and after putting school off for a bit, she begins attending her father's alma mater. the hyuna that walks onto campus is still young and hurt from the event that played out in her high school years. however, alcohol and other various activities help her forget about it, albeit temporarily. ◦ she pledges to DPE, feeling a connection with both the sisters of the sorority and those who were also rushing. the fact there was wine handy was nice, too. always nice. ◦ it's junior year and she's nominated for the spot of vice president. she doesn't exactly question it, even if it's not something hyuna has envisioned for herself. she loves her sisters, her position of VP, and yonsei...for the most part. ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ ◦ other ◦ owns three cats, all of which stay with her parents. ◦ has one tattoo as of yet, located on her forearm. ◦ likely listening to 80's pop music. ◦ makes either the best plans or the worst ones while drunk. wine is her drink of choice. her current favorite kind of wine is rosé. ◦ how to make your way into her heart? spa weekends. ◦ her parents are paying for college. the only reason she's working is to pay for her drinking habits. ooc ◦ muse is moon hyuna of 9 muses/nine muses ◦ # moons and magic & @hyundals ◦ mun is eastern time
